Hey Lakes Fans,

I just wanted to share with you a little piece of my life as a person and basketball player..

In my first picture, there are my two older brothers on the right side while I'm on the left of the picture.
I don't know what my mom was thinking when she decided to put those terrible cloths on me but I still Love her. However this is were my competitive nature comes from..From all the years of my brothers telling me that I was always too little to play and them also never letting me win at anything, LOL..

My next picture is when I played my last college game in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against the #1 team in the country..

And to my last picture, although I'm with a new team now I feel like I should share this picture because this is my BEST BASKETBALL GAME EVER!!

I hope to duplicate this same thing result with the Lakestars this season..
I also would like to thank all of you Lakestar Fans, because without you this game wouldn't be the same!!!

Hey Lakes Fans,

今日は皆さんに僕という人間、僕というバスケ選手についてちょっと知ってもらいたいと思います。



１枚目の写真、一番左が僕で、その横が２人の兄です。
母親がなぜこんな服を着させたのか全く理解できないですね。
そんな母親ですがもちろん愛してます。
そんなことより、僕の大の負けず嫌いはこの２人の兄が原因なんです。
この写真の時からずっと、僕は小さすぎて相手にしてもらえませんでした。
しかもどんな遊びの勝負ごとでも勝たせてもらったことがありませんでした。。。（笑）



２枚目は、大学時代の最後の試合、ＮＣＡＡ２回戦で全米Ｎｏ．１チームと対戦した時のものです。


そして最後の写真。今はもちろんレイクスの一員としてこの写真と同じ姿をお見せしたいと思っています。


この時が今までのバスケ人生で最高の瞬間だったんです。

今シーズン、レイクスとしてこの瞬間を必ず再現してみせます。
そのためにもみんなにお礼をしないといけないですね。
なぜなら、レイクスブースターなしでこの瞬間は訪れないから！！

Hi everyone, this is Mikey Marshall
I would like to thank all of you for the support that was shown this past weekends game against Takamatsu.
If this blog isn't good please be patient LOL..

The last few years have really been good for me as a person and as a basketball player.
In 2006-07 I played for Oita Heatdevils and our team was able to reach the final four in Tokyo.
In 2007-08 I played for Osaka Evessa and we were able to win the Championship which was my BEST BASKETBALL FEELING EVER!!!!!
In 2008-09 I went to Kuwait in the Middle East and was also able to win a Championship there as well...
Now I'm back in Japan playing for the Shiga Lakestars and looking forward to bringing the Championship to the City of Shiga and also to the Shiga Fans!!

I also wanted to share my Beautiful Family.. In my first picture, there is my Mom and my Beautiful Wife!!
These are the most important woman in the world to me!!
The next picture is my daughter, who just had her 3rd Birthday.
The last picture is my crazy son who's Birthday is on Saturday :(. I want to thank those of you that took the time to read my Blog and I promise that I'll do better with the next one.

Hi everyone, this is Mikey Marshall
まずは、高松戦の応援本当にありがとうございました。

今日は自分自身について書きたいと思います。
おもしろくなくても我慢してくださいね（笑）

過去何年間かは、バスケ選手としてだけではなく１人の人間としても充実した日々を過ごしてきました。
０６－０７シーズンは大分ヒートデビルズの選手として有明の舞台に立つことができました。
翌０７－０８シーズンは大阪エヴェッサの一員として優勝し、バスケ人生で最高の経験ができました。
さらに、０８－０９シーズンは中東のクウェートでプレーし、ここでも優勝できたんです。
そして今、日本に戻ってきて滋賀レイクスターズの一員として、この滋賀という街、滋賀のファンの皆さんのために優勝を目指しています。


家族のことも紹介しておきますね。
１枚目の写真は僕の母親と最愛の妻です。彼女たちは僕にとって最も大切な女性です。
次の写真は３歳になったばかりの娘、そして次が土曜日に誕生日を迎えたやんちゃな息子です。


今日は紹介だけですが、最後まで読んでくれてありがとうございます。
次はもっと楽しいことを書きますからね。

I would like to take this time to thank all of the fans that continue the great support of the Shiga Lakestars.

As the bj-league continues to grow each year I know that the fan support of this team will do the same.
This past weekend was really a fun one, with all of the support on Saturday and Sunday that we received we were able to get two wins against the defending champions!!!

We as a team would like to thank you Lakestar Fans for all the continued support in which you give us while we play this beautiful sport..
We look for to seeing you on the road and at our next home games.

今日は、みんなに感謝の気持ちを伝えたいと思っています。
いつも絶えることのない声援をありがとうございます。

ｂｊリーグは発足してまだ５年の若いリーグですが、年々成長しています。
それと同じようにレイクスブースターの声援も大きくなっていくんだと思います。
先週末は本当におもしろい週末になりましたね。
土曜日も日曜日も大きな声援に後押しされ、僕たちはディフェンディングチャンピオンに連勝することができました！
レイクスを応援してくださる皆さんの絶えることのない声援は僕たちチーム全員に届いています。
このバスケットボールという素晴らしいスポーツをする僕たちに...

今週末からのアウェイでの大阪戦、高松戦、そして守山市民体育館での今シーズン最後のホームゲーム京都ハンナリーズ戦で、皆さんにお会いできることを楽しみにしています。

I'm really looking forward to meeting the Lakes　booster's and I also look forward to having many exciting games as we look toward our goal of making it to Ariake and winning the bj-League Chamionship this season!!

I hope that I'm the missing link that this team has been needing and I look forward to the many challenges ahead.

マイキー・マーシャルです。
滋賀レイクスターズの一員となって、まず何よりも皆さんにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。
残り少ないシーズンですが、プレイオフ、有明、そして優勝目指して迎えるこれからの試合を本当に楽しみにしています。

僕は、これまでレイクスが必要としていた最後の１ピースだと思っています。
優勝のために与えられた役割、そして、それを果たすための困難はいくらでも受け入れるつもりです。
