Aloha Lakestars boosters

We had a great weekend in Takamatsu and we played extremely well together.
We played extremely tough defence and held our opponent to 14 points in a half which is outstanding.
Thank you lakes boosters for coming to the game and cheering from Shiga.

I just want to say Im proud of Joho and Wara-san for participating in the All Star game.
They are trully great players and worthy or the honor.
Also, to Coach Pierce for being recognized as a great coach and being choosen to be the assistant for the west All Star team.

Please come out and support us this weekend against Osaka Evessa.
They are extremely talented team and are very physcial, its sure to be a war.
See you at the game...

高松戦の週末は最高でしたね。チーム一丸となって戦えたと思います。
ディフェンスがしっかりできて、２戦目の前半を１４点に抑えたのは本当にすごいことだったと思います。
高松まで来てくれたブースターも、滋賀から応援してくれたブースターもありがとうございました。

ジョーとワラさんのオールスター出場も素晴らしかったですね。
彼らはリーグを代表する選手で出場に値するプレーをしていますからね。
もちろんピアスヘッドコーチもアシスタントコーチとして選ばれるに相応しいコーチだと思います。

今週末は大阪エヴェッサ戦です。必ず応援に来てくださいね。
戦力豊富でフィジカルも強いですし、激しい戦いになると思います。
県立体育館で待ってますからね。

Just want to say thank you for your continued support of the Lakes this year.
Sorry we couldn't get two wins for you against Sendai.

This weekend we travel to Takamatsu, which will be no easy task.
Even though, their record isn't really good they have a lot of weapons like, Michael Gardener and Okada Yu who are in the top 10 in scoring this season.

We have been working extremely hard this week in preparation for our upcoming games.
We ask for you continued support from Shiga and hopefully we will see you at the games.

今シーズンのここまでの応援本当にありがとうございます。
仙台戦に勝てず残念でした。

今日は高松に向かいます。簡単には勝たせてくれないでしょう。高松の成績は良くないですが、強力な武器を持ってますからね。マイケル・ガーデナーと岡田優、２人ともトップ10に入るスコアラーですからね。

もちろん僕たちもしっかり準備はしてますからね。
滋賀から応援お願いします。
高松まで来てくれるブースターもいますよね。会えるのを楽しみにしてます。

This is Bobby Nash signing in for another players Blog post!
I just wanted to say to the boosters, fans and the Lakestar "Ohana", which is hawaiian for family, for your love and support.

The team had some bad games these past few weeks and we are looking to turn it around.
We got back into the gym after our loss's against Oita, on tuesday and worked extremely hard. Coach Pierce, tried a new approach by having big Bashi and lil Bashi coach our practice these past four days and they have done an outstanding job.
It was tough for the American's because we couldn't quite understand the translations but, relied on our teammates to help us figure it out.
I think coach wanted a different perspective on the games and what we need to work on, so he had big Bashi and lil Bashi run our practice.

We saw somethings that might not have been there before, we tweak some plays to better fit our personal, and we worked extremely hard in each and every drill.
The Coach's did a great job!

I just want to say in closing, the weather is getting colder and the flu is still go around so be very careful.
Also, the week we have a bye weak and then next week we play Kyoto.
They are a very formidable opponent and we will work extremely hard in trying to get back to our winning ways.
I would like to thank the fans, booster and the lake's "Ohana" for all of your support and we will see you at the games in a couple of weeks.

ボビー･ナッシュの久しぶりのブログです。
まずは、ブースターとレイクス"Ohana"（ハワイの言葉で"家族”）に、いつも声援ありがとう。

チームはここ数週間調子が良くないですが、すぐに取り返しますからね。
大分戦の負けから火曜日には再びハードな練習を始めています。
今週の練習では、気分転換も兼ねて、ビッグバシとリトルバシが練習メニューを組んで練習をしました。
本当に良い練習ができました。
アメリカ人選手にとっては言葉がわからないのでなかなか理解するのが難しいことがありますが、他の選手がしっかりフォローしてくれています。

コーチは、僕たちにこれまでとは違う視点や考え方を持ってほしいと思ってビッグバシとリトルバシに練習を任せたんだと思います。
確かにこれまでにはなかったもので、選手個人個人のためになることが見つかったように思います。
もちろん練習自体もかなりハードだったんですよ。

最後に、寒くなってきましたし、インフルエンザもまだ流行ってるみたいなんで気をつけてくださいね。
そして、今週は休みで来週は京都との試合です。
やりがいのある相手にしっかり勝って、調子を取り戻したいと思います。
ブースター、そしてOhana、本当にいつも応援ありがとうございます。
２週間後の野洲での試合で会いましょう！

Aloha Lakes Booster,

I wish everyone a safe week and weekend.
There was a terrible typhoon that hit and I wish everyone safety and protection from the storm.
I have been in many typhoons living in Hawaii and I know that they can be very scary and dangerous.

Last week, was a good start to the season.
We won our first game and came up a little short on our second game.
We know that we are very talented and that we have a extremely deep bench.
The main thing though is we play hard together and we want to win.
Joho, Wara, Chris and Mike had exceptionally great starts to the season.
They scored, defended and played at a very high level which we are going to need through out the 50 more games we have to play.
The team is going to get better and better everyday because the players are hungry to learn and also hungry to get better.

Although, we practice, train and play hard.
We can not win without the support of our LakeStar boosters, fans and family.
You are our 6th man and we need all the support you can give to us.
Please come out and support us on the 10th and 11th as we play against the always tough Takamatsu "five arrows".
Come to the game and help cheer us on because of you the fans are the reason why we play the game of basketball.

皆さん無事でしょうか？
台風は本当にすごいですね。
みんなが強風の被害に遭っていないことを祈ってます。
ハワイにいる時も台風は何度ありましたし、その恐ろしさはよくわかります。

先週末は、今シーズンの良いスタートが切れたと思います。
土曜日の試合は勝ちましたが、日曜日はもう少しでしたね。
僕たちは本当に能力の高い選手が揃ってますし、控え選手も優秀な選手ばかりです。
そして、もちろん勝ちたいという強い思いを持ってハードに戦っています。
ジョー、ワラ、クリス、マイクの４人は特に良い活躍をしてましたね。
点も獲り、ディフェンスもがんばり、残りの50試合で僕たちがしなければならないことをしっかりしていました。
選手はみんな成長することに貪欲で毎日毎日もっと良くなりたいと思ってます。

毎日練習に励み、試合でも全力で戦います。
でも、レイクスブースターの応援がなければ勝てないと思っています。
レイクスブースターは６人目の選手です。力の限り応援してください。
10日、11日の高松ファイブアローズ戦も必ず会場に来てください。
みんなが会場で応援してくれるから僕たちは戦ってるんです。

Aloha and welcome to the 2009-2010 Shiga Lake Stars season

Hi this is Bobby Nash signing in and wanted to tell you that my teammates are working extremely hard to get ready for the grueling 52 game season.
In talking with my teammates they are anxious to get back on the court, can't wait to play and compete against the best players in the bJ-league.

Leaving Hawaii was hard this time around because i had been back home for 3 months and hung out with my family and friends a lot.
But, my dad had told me that your just moving from one Island to another and japan is like your second home.
I laughed but, I realized he was right.
I love Shiga, the people, the boosters and everyone that supports the Lakes!

We are getting ready to play and with the great coaching staff, that has put more focus on defense we will be able to compete at a very high level.
But for the fans and boosters we need your support.
We need you our "six man" and thats you the Lakes faithful.

So I will see you at Kyoto on October 3rd and 4th for our first game of the season.

レイクスの2009-2010シーズンへようこそ。

ボビー・ナッシュです。
チームは52試合という過酷なシーズンに向けてハードな練習をしています。
このチームでコートに立ち、ｂｊリーグの舞台で戦えるのが楽しみです。

今回ハワイを離れるのは本当に辛かったです。３ヶ月の帰国で家族や友人とずっと一緒にいましたからね。
でも父から言われたんです。「島から島に移動するだけ。それに日本は第２の故郷じゃないか」と。
確かにその通りです。
I love Shiga, the people, the boosters and everyone that supports the Lakes!

ボクたちはコーチ陣と共に開幕を迎える準備ができています。
この最高のコーチ陣は特にディフェンスに力を入れていて、チームはさらにレベルアップしています。
でも、みんなのサポートは必要ですよ！
ぼくたちは「six man」が必要ですし、レイクスブースターこそが６人目の選手だと思っています。

１０月３、４日の京都との開幕戦で会えるのを楽しみにしています。
