Hey Lakes Boosters,
its been a long season and although we came up short and did not make it as far as we wanted to it gives us (Shiga Lakestars) a higher goal to set for next season.
The season was actually a success if you compare it to last season and the coaching staff did a great job in making tough decisions to even get us to 29 wins plus the playoffs.
As for me I left everything out on the court in the playoffs and all season long I never second thought my effort. Also I enjoyed playing with my teammates and getting to know some very valuable life lessons.
I look up to the players with families (Wara, Mikey, Joho, Ray and Yuta) because it takes a man to raise children and thats a task I will be waiting a while to take on.
I also look up to the bachelors like Ryuichi because he gets so many gifts after the games lol.
Although we did not win anything this season it is a stepping stone for the program and every year will get better!
And I am also willing to share my rebounding award with the Shiga Pref. so as a Prefecture we can be the rebounding champions and no one can take that away from us!!!!!!!!

長いシーズンでしたね。目標にもうあと少し届きませんでした。
来シーズンへ持ち越しです。
結果だけ見れば、昨シーズンと比べて今シーズンは良くなりました。
シーズン２９勝にプレイオフ進出、と素晴らしい成果を残せたのはコーチングスタッフのおかげです。
個人的にはプレイオフで全てを出し切りましたし、シーズンを通しても全力で取り組めました。
それに、チームメイトと一緒に過ごすことで人生の教訓もたくさんありました。
特に、家族を持つ選手（ワラ、マイキー、ジョー、レイ、ユウタ）を尊敬に値しますね。
いずれ自分も近いうちにと思っていますが、子どもを育てるというのは本当に大変な責任ですからね。
もちろんリュウイチのような独身もいいですよね。
試合後にあんなにたくさんのプレゼントをもらえるんですから（笑）
結局、今シーズンはチームとして何も成し得ていませんが、これは次のシーズンのための踏み台です。必ず毎年良くなるはずです。
でも最後に、僕の獲得した最多リバウンド賞を滋賀県の皆さんと分かち合いたいと思います。
僕たちを１年間支えてくれたこの滋賀という地域全体で獲得した最多リバウンド賞です。
この事実は誰にも変えられません！！！！！！

I would like to take this time to thank everyone for the support you guys put out this season, believe it or not the Boosters are a huge part of our success.
I was also informed that I finished the regular season as the rebound king.
So seeing that I am "King" I will make my teammates call me King Gary for the remainder of the playoffs or for short King G will do just fine lol .
But all jokes aside I also would like to recognize Haruyuki Ishibashi many people may not know this but he finished the season as free throw king shooting one free throw all year vs. Oita in our last series to end the year at 100% from the foul line.
So since it went unrecognized we can't call him "King" so his new nickname can be Baby Bashi
Congratulations Baby Bashi im so proud of you!!!

ほとんどの人が知らないと思いますが、実は彼は、今シーズン最終戦の大分戦で、彼にとって今シーズン最初で最後のフリースローを１本沈め、フリースロー成功率１００％で見事フリースロー王に輝きました。
でも誰も気づかないので彼のことを「King」とは呼べません。
だから彼の新しいニックネームは「ベビーバシ」です。
ベビーバシおめでとう！ベビーバシのことを本当に誇りに思うよ！！！

I found my purpose in life
＃2ゲイリー･ハミルトン
I would like to start off by saying it is an honor to have earned the rebounding title.
This is the second year I led a league in rebounding for the whole season and I think its safe to say I found my purpose in life which is to rebound the basketball.
At the beginning of the year coach Pierce and Ishibashi emphasized how important rebounding would be in our team success so I took it upon myself to make sure rebounding was my top priority and with teammates like Joho, Mikey and Ray able to score so effectively they help make my job so much more easier.
Basketball is a team game and I definitely would not have been able to accomplish this feat by myself so I would like to thank all my teammates and coaching staff for believing in me and knowing that I could get the job done!

まずはじめに、最多リバウンド賞を受賞できたことを本当に光栄に思います。
プロ選手になってからリバウンド王になったのはこれで２回目（ドイツリーグで受賞）ですが、僕はバスケットボールでリバウンドを獲るために生きているんだということがやっとわかりました。
シーズン当初、ピアスＨＣや石橋ＡＣに、このチームが強くなるにはいかにリバウンドが大切かということを力説されたことを覚えています。
だからこそ、リバウンドを獲ることを最優先に試合に臨んできました。
もちろん、ジョー、マイキー、レイのように点を取ってくれるチームメイトがいるからこそ、僕はリバウンドを最優先にできるんです。
バスケットボールはチームスポーツであって、僕ひとりの力でリバウンド王になれたわけじゃありません。
僕にならできると信じ、期待してくれているチームメイトやコーチングスタッフに本当に感謝しています。

What's good Lakes Boosters?
Im just checking in with you all and wanted to thank everyone who was able to come out and support us this past weekend.
I hope to see much more support in our next game vs. the Golden Kings where we look forward to getting two wins against the #1 team in the west.
This week we had an off day and I spent it in Osaka where I got a chance to visit the Osaka castle and learn more about the Japanese culture.
After that trip I went to Moby Dicks for dinner where I enjoyed my new found favorite Japanese dish Shabu-Shabu.

久しぶりのブログになりました。
まずはじめに、先週末熱い声援を送ってくれた皆さんありがとうございました。
次の琉球戦ではさらに熱いブーストを期待してますよ。
西地区の首位ですがもちろん連勝しますからね。
今週末は試合がなくオフの日があったので大阪に行ってきました。日本の文化を色々学んできましたよ。
その後はMoby Dicksで新たな好物と出会いました。

Hello Lakes Boosters, this weekend I won the Player Of the Week award and would like to thank everyone who traveled to Tokyo and from Shiga to support the Lakestars and cheer us on to get two wins!
We appreciate all of the support and I would like for the cheering to increase because it would help our chances to get to the playoffs and surprise a lot of people who doubt us.

皆さん、先週末の試合で週間ＭＶＰに選ばれました。
東京まで来てくださったブースターや滋賀から声援を送っていただいたブースターの皆さん、連勝の後押しありがとうございました！
僕たちは皆さんの声援に本当に支えられていますし、その応援のおかげで、まずはプレイオフ進出に向けて着実に前進しています。
プレイオフ進出が無理だと思っている人たちを驚かせましょうね。
選手を表彰する週間ＭＶＰですが、僕の力だけで受賞できるものではありません。
