What a great weekend in Niigata! I am very proud of our team, those wins were not easy. Niigata is a tough team to play at home, and the games were very physical. We showed some great mental and physical toughness to win those games.

We almost gave the Sunday game away though. Wara got elbowed in the eye, and we were down by 12 in the second quarter. Things were not looking very good for us. But the smallest player on our team came in and made smoe huge contributions. Bashi played great for us, playing great defense on Takeno and running the offense smoothly. I was so happy for him when he drove to the basket and made an amazing shot over two Niigata big guys. Without his great play we would not have won that game. Oh, and I guess Bobby's game winning shot was pretty cool too.

I'm happy we don't have to play Niigata again. That was a tough place to play, and, more importantly, that was a LONG bus ride. I'm happy we have a home game this weekend.

Thanks to all the Lakes Boosters who came all the way to Niigata! You give us strength with your cheers. I hope to see everyone this weekend in Moriyama!!

新潟での週末は最高でした！この２連勝は簡単なものではなかったし、チームのことを誇りに思います。
新潟のホームで試合をするのは本当にタフでしたし、厳しい肉体戦でした。
でも、レイクスはこの２連戦、精神的にも肉体的にも強さを示すことができました。
ただ、日曜日の試合は落としそうになりましたけどね。

第２Ｑにワラが左目に肘をくらって、１２点差をつけられる場面もあったし、レイクスにとっては良くない状況でした。
でも、チームで一番小さな選手がでかい仕事をしてくれました。
バシが僕たちを引っ張ってくれたし、特に竹野選手へのディフェンスから次の攻撃へと素晴らしい働きをしてくれました。
そして、ドライブインから新潟のビッグマン２人に囲まれながらのシュートが決まった時は本当にうれしかったですね。
バシのあのプレイがなければ勝てなかったと思います。
あっ、そういえばボビーの勝利を決める最後のショットも最高でしたけどね。

もう新潟での試合がないと思うと一安心です。
本当に新潟での試合はタフですし、何よりもあの“長い”バス移動がないですからね。
今週末のホームゲームが待ち遠しいです。
